Last Sunday’s hot home game versus top-of-the-table Portland Thorns ultimately came down to a single Christine Sinclair. The match was the second time the two teams have met this season, and the only time the two will face off in Cary, North Carolina for the 2021 season.

The starting XI for the Courage consisted of Lynn Williams, Jess McDonald, Debinha, Havana Solaun, Denise O’Sullivan, Cari Roccaro, Carson Pickett, Abby Erceg (C), Kaleigh Kurtz, Merritt Mathias, and Casey Murphy in goal.

Next for North Carolina Courage

Currently on FIFA break, The Courage are getting a needed rest before next playing on the road against NJ/NY Gotham FC. That match is scheduled for a 3:00 pm ET start on Sunday, September 25, 2021, at Red Bull Arena.
