We’ve been a bit behind on our posting here of late, but better late than never.
With much better weather than the Courage’s first pre-season match against Wake Forest, the Courage faced off against the University of North Carolina Tar Heels in their second and final pre-season game.
The North Carolina Courage scored only twice with veterans Jess McDonald and Lynn Williams getting the pair of goals, finishing the match against the Chapel Hill-based University squad with a score of 2-1.
The Saturday day match was the second of two preseason matches against North Carolina-based universities, used as polishing and adjustment matches for the Courage before heading into the four matches of the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup’s initial matches.
